The Meta Rating is our aggregated score combining reviews from Google, Facebook, and TripAdvisor. It gives you a broader picture than any single platform alone.

We pull ratings from major review platforms, weight them by review volume and recency, and calculate a combined score. The methodology favours venues with consistent ratings across platforms rather than those with a high score on just one.

We verify venue details regularly, but things change. Opening hours, prices, and contact details can shift without notice. If something looks wrong, please let us know via the Contact page.

The Weather page shows current and seasonal information for beaches around the island. Each beach page also includes weather information specific to that location.

Our tide charts display predicted high and low tides, helping you plan activities like swimming, kayaking, or simply ensuring there's beach to sit on when you arrive.

The dry season runs roughly December to April, with February and March typically the calmest. The Gulf of Thailand side means Samui's seasons differ from Phuket and the Andaman coast. Our conditions pages break this down by beach.

Sunset times are calculated for Koh Samui's coordinates and are accurate to within a few minutes. West-facing beaches like Lipa Noi and Taling Ngam offer the best sunset views.

We include venues we've visited or thoroughly researched. Selection is editorial, not paid. We look for places worth knowing about, whether they're well-known beach clubs or quieter spots that deserve attention.
